Planned setup, shoot, breakdown from 10am -5pm... though, if needed we could squeeze an extra hour in at the end, but it would be dark.

I'm still hoping for some cloud cover and/or fog left over from this rain... but sunny is the forecast.

Mario got alot of comments and questions, so he spread the word... very cool Mario!!

What a cutie! Wink Only thing is, the shirt isn't tight enough cause I can't see any wave action.

Seriously, that is really neet that so many people saw the shirt and were asking about it... yea!

Hexed, sorry about that call yesterday... we were in the middle of shooting.

Once again cast and crew did a wonderful job... very professional attitudes and overall just cool people.
I still need to look over all the footage from the cemetery shoot, but I think we were able to capture some really cool shots.
We were shooting day for night. I was hoping for some clouds, but it was a nice bright sunny day with lots of long shadows. We utilized the darker shadows, along with some man-made shade, and got the close-ups captured. The cemetery is in a valley, so we knew we would have natural lighting while the hills shaded the entire cemetery, but I miscalculted the sun/shade timing by an hour which shortened our time for the remainder of the shoot. We ended up with about 70 minutes of "perfect" shading before the sky turned dark... and it turned dark fast. We were able to get most of it shot in that time frame. but still had about 10 minutes that needed to be shot in the dark with headlights... kinda screws up the overall lighting, but I have a few creative ideas already running around in my brain... we'll try them out and see what works.

Welp....

Finally home. Geoff just left heading home but I wanted to jump on and say that I had a great time being apart of the Prey crew. It was cold but fun, and we got some great shots. Like McClure stated we had to fight the night and hopefully he can make those few shots work. Heck hope he can make the whole shoot work, because in my many years of working I have never done a day for night shoot so it was a learning and enlightening experience. Everyone was great! The actress Marilyn (dont know if I spelled that correctly) was cool to hang out with. Of course working with McClure was as cool as it was the first time (ask him about the "Haunted"). And as for BB what can I say I have a crush on her...lol j/k she was the most amazing host and a damn good....hell great Producer for her first time out the gate. I hope she stickes with it Wink Well I have uploaded some pics on here so you can see what trouble we got into this weekend. Oh and BB check your cell voicemail I left you a message...I didn't get all the pics and need you to e-mail me two more. Enjoy....

I'm home, tired, and glad we've got another project in the can.

Can't wait to see the final product.

We had to shoot day for night in one of the scenes from It Envies the Living and it came out pretty good as is but after a few tweaks in After Effects it was looking sweet.

My house, garage, and truck are still a mess, but I am rested and ready to say thanks, once again, to all of you here in the Sanctuary for being supportive of this project. A special heartfelt thanks goes out to those of you who participated in someway (large or small)... Roxics, DT, LW, Mario, Erik, Jenn, those who offered advice or encouragement, etc.

FilmSail and Geoff, I am quite serious when I say that hanging out with you this weekend was like being with family. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together and hope we can do it again sometime.

Richard, thanks for another memorable learning experience. I think our individual strengths and talents balance out very well. While this movie has a ways to go before it's finished (and I have no doubt that it will be) I am happy that we now have two successful projects under our collective belt.

The Sanctuary is a wonderful place. It is rich and fertile. It is a place where anyone can come and dream dreams and watch them come true. It is full of it's own peculiar magic... and that magic has a very strong heart.

Vahklempt? I had to research that word because I didn't know what it meant. Sorry for getting sentimental, but I am a woman and it goes with the territory. Normally I don't let it out it because I know that guys don't like too much that kind of thing, but occasionally it is bound to escape me, and when it does you'll just have to deal with it. Wink

One of my goals in 2007 is not to edit any posts. So, for better or for worse, if I write it, it will stand.
