Hello!
We're kicking off the 5th annual IndieMeet with our new sci-fi movie, EXILE, shot in Las Vegas and in Utah's volcanoes. Here is the POSTER and there is more info, below.
IndieMeet is WHAT?
Day demos and night movies! A bunch of filmmaking/artist types come to Vegas, for 3 days, to mingle, eat, drink and share knowledge in a casual setting. Some of this years guests include filmmakers from Canada (two of the three features), California (Bakersfield, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Santa Monica), Texas, Arizona, Utah, Washington, and of course,........Nevada!
WHEN?
Memorial Day weekend - May 22nd-24th. (See SCHEDULE, below.)
WHERE?
5308 Hickam Ave. - Mike and Sheila Conway's house, in N/W Las Vegas, near Craig Rd and Decatur Blvd. Click HERE for Mapquest directions.
COST? No charge. Any small donations to help cover the snacks and meals are deeply appreciated.
WHAT HAPPENS?
You can attend and watch daytime demos and evening indie movies, projected on a 10 foot screen, while roasting marshmallows. THESE people almost had too much fun, last year.
Get involved! Bring your short film (20 minutes or less) and we'll play it between or after features. Do you know about distribution or entertainment law? Talk about it. Present a demo. Past demos have included:

Greenscreen shooting
3D Imaging
Silicone molds
Making blood
Makeup application
Music for film
Cameras
Stunt fighting
Production
etc.
Please keep topics under 20 minutes. This year, there will be an exception, as we will light, shoot, edit and apply post-fx to a scene, in real time. Also, demos of a Blood Cannon, Gore makeup, Stop Motion, 3-D filmmaking and more.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
FRIDAY
6pm - Hors D' Oeuvres, Taco bar, meet and greet.
8:00pm - Feature movie, EXILE (presented by your's truly) Review HERE.
9:30pm - the 7 foot tall Alien Warrior Comedian as seen on The Last Comic Standing.
10:00pm to 2am (approx.) - Short films
SATURDAY
1:00pm to 7:30pm - presentations, demos....and pizza!
8:00pm to 2am (approx.) Shorts and Feature movie, RECON 2023 (by Christian Viel)
SUNDAY
1:30pm (approx.) - Several of us will most likely go to Santa Fe Station casino to see TERMINATOR: SALVATION (Click on the titles to see corresponding trailers.)
5pm to 9pm - Barbecue and Pool party This part of the Meet is at Sheila's mom's house, because....she has a pool! Not far from our place, head towards Rancho Santa Fe Station (same place as the TERMINATOR movie) and turn N. on Rainbow, then E. on Rancho Santa Fe Drive. MAP HERE
10pm to 2am (approx.) Back at the Mike/Sheila house. Short films and fireside,
If you have firewood, please bring some!

You're going to premiere Exile?! That's awesome Mike!
I look forward to finally seeing it and buying a copy, if available.
Also Christian, if you're reading this post, please bring copies of Recon 2023 & Deaden. I've been wanting to add those titles to my collection as well. 
Ah hell, I need a copy of Crawler too... Damn, I'm gonna go broke this year...

No doubt, that particular scene gets the best reaction. I showed it to a group of about 8 people involved with the Xanadu film festival and I never heard so many "oohs" and "yucks" 
Of course, I'll be happy to do it!
