Ohmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

sounds funny but sometimes a little backing off and breathing
is all you can do to not get the Liquor Barn's stock skyrocketing.

Maybe it's just me but I've found that the "I'm outta here" point almost always comes midway through the shooting portion of a production.

I know I don't have much out there but my media projects at work have this sort of a pattern.

But I can say this much...
the main project that I gave into this feeling with, for more financial reasons than not but still, haunts me to this day.

It's not easy to snap out of, especially while in the heat of it...
the project is almost always on your mind even when you're doing something else...
I think this is the pain of true dedicated though.

Do yourself a favor and work it out...off...however you can.

Trust me...tougher to live with not completing it than mushing forward, it just doesn't look that way at the moment.

That is wise and good advice... thank you.

Wise and good are those who will listen to the voice of wisdom.
I'm trying to listen. Communication doesn't happen in silence.

One should remember that entire scene and what happens with a "failure to communicate"...

I believe it went along the lines of...

A guard beats a chain gang member...
Warden to the group, "You see, what we've got here is a failure to communicate...

some men...you just can't reach..."

<ouch>

"...sooooo...you get what we got here last week..."

<thump>

"Now...I don't like this any more than you do>

March is now booked.

Between work, a baby shower for our newest family member, and a potential Ditneyland twip with my granddaughter...
I'm not going to be able to do much else.

I honestly don't think I'm needed for these shoots though...
after going over and over the footage McClure left here,
it's looking really good.
But the dialogue shots are going to be crucial to putting it altogether. Razz

At this rate it's going to be a silent movie.

I know that was sarcasm...
but you know...
that hasn't been done in awhile either.

Might have sputtered genius there Bee.

Sputter? Nah. Stumble, maybe. Actually the silent director said it first.
There is nothing genious about me, but apparently I'm drawn to them or they are drawn to me. Same difference.
And normally I don't call out to them... unless they are part wolf.

Speaking of talking animals... Timber can certainly express himself. He has an emotional palette that any artist would envy. It's unbelievable.

But seriously, silent or not, I sincerely hope the movie turns out good. Everyone, especially the kids, has put in a lot of time and effort.

Oh, nevermind. Back to screwing with stuff.

I've got to read this thread more. Totally missed half if it. What about the audio?

Man you have good ears!

There isn't a problem with audio because we haven't got any yet.

The problem is a lack of communication between the director and the producer. Producers don't like it when directors don't tell them what is going on.
It's kind of hard to manage schedules and wave an enthusiastic banner over the troops when the one weilding the camera and the vision has vanished like Houdini.
If the director wasn't such a nice guy, the producer would practice her kickboxing moves on him... if she coulf find him, that is.

End of rant.

You can kick me instead? I like it rough. No! Wait! Let me go get a newspaper.

It'll be fine, bee. I'm sure the director is going to be popping up shortly. Watch.

Don't you just love the collaborative way film works Bee LOL It is a thorn, but it all works out in the end, even if you have to sit on projects for a few years Rolling Eyes But until the day you can pay and lock people in it will always be this frust...um fun. But as we all know (because we keep doing it) it is rewarding.
