Wolfman... that was cute and it made me smile. Thank you! Very Happy

Filmsail... yep. It is always fun to start a project and so rewarding to finish one.
But like you and LW and others have said, there are those moments (days/eras, lol) when you wanna pull your hair out and repeatedly ask yourself WHY you thought this was such a good idea.

And yes, since it's a hobby, life and/or making a living can take top priority and force everything else to the backburner. But for those of us who love stories, it's a lasting attraction.

If this was my job I don't know if I would like it as much as I do. Maybe it's better this way because it's a choice. ???

Speaking of wolves... when can we see Little Red?
And whats the status of Indy?
Maybe you should update us... but not on this thread.
jjjj/kkkk! hee hee Wink
Go right ahead... tell us anything you want to. I'm looking forward to seeing these movies. Maybe you can get them done in time for the 2010 IndieMeet... if there is one.

Words of wisdom...

If you are ever in the mood to quit something, don't start plucking your eyebrows.

Just trust me...

Very Happy

Glad you liked it. All I can say is I'm thankful for makeup and bangs!
Hopefully I learned a lesson this morning and won't try that again.

Well... we had to cancel the shoot for this weekend, and the next one is up in the air, and the one after that one of the kids can't make it, and the one after that I can't make it (no big deal there)...

so you see why this hair pulling stuff happens?

but to be fair, there are other, bigger stressors going on and this is the safest, easiest thing to vent about.

Call me Whoopie... or call me Whoopie Doo... but don't call me Whoopie Cushion. Wink

Remember these are greenscreen shots mostly...

so you do not require the whole cast on every shoot, even when they're supposed to talk to each other in the shot...

Just carefully plan out the scene on paper and film take after take after take...it's probably advantageous to NOT have them all on set at the same time anyways, since you guys are working with kids and that can be the stunt equivalent of herding cats.

Keep your head up Bee trust me those delays are not fun. I've been trying to get the schedule straight with my editor for what now 2 years lol. It will happen just stay focused on the prize. What your doing with these kids is so awesome and going to be great!

LW... thanks for directing the focus to what is important. You're right, but we have some work to do before we can start greenscreening. Hopefully this weekend we will make some progress in that area. The only location shot left is a quickie... maybe we'll get that done next weekend and be ready for greenscreen work on 3/6.

My excuse for not doing my part is exasperation and lack of inspiration. Thanks to all of you, I'm getting over that. Cool

As Richard mentioned on another thread, he has been crazy busy... his job has been sending him up and down the state, from one end to the other. (This week he is in LA filling in for a coworker who died... the guy was 29 and had little kids.) He has only had a couple of days off in the past few months, and I am not sure what he does when he's not working or shooting, but I wouldn't blame him if he was sleeping like the dead. (See, I get mad at him sometimes but I can also be fair.)

John... Very Happy... thank you for not showing my eyebrows. LOL!

But seriously... if anybody deserves a big red S on their shirt, it's Richard. My job is so much easier... I just send emails, provide lunches and dispense hugs (which I love). It's a lot of fun to work with the kids. Thank you, though, for the encouragement and the grins! I hope things will start moving quickly with your editor. Keep us posted.

After one thing and then a dozen more, we are about to get back on board the pirate ship and sail it across the finish line. The plan is to take some days of vacation during spring break and get 'er done.

If all goes as planned, we'll be finished with shooting green screen this weekend.

Hey, LW... you ready for this, Bro? Very Happy I can hardly wait to see what you'll cook up!

Hey, Erik... Erik? Helloooooooo? Has anybody seen or heard from The Kid lately?

Just gonna need harddrives...
but yeah, I'm ready.

Make sure that the greenscreen is far enough behind the tykes that the green doesn't bounce onto them...please?

I'm already preparing to develop a drinking habit working through this without storyboards. Razz

But yeah.

I still want to wait and see what I'm dealing with first.

Like I said, aside from a few emails and ideas that got tossed around...
I honestly have no idea what's up.
I mean, I know there's some ship shots...
but that's it.
Otherwise, I'd be trying to help with more info on getting the greenscreen shots right on a per shot level.

Until more info comes along...

Hang in there.

P.S.: Let this be a lesson to the rest of you non-storyboarders. Razz
